Deivis Shtembari Arrested in Black Face
On June 6, 2020, A 28-year-old man named Deivis Shtembari was arrested during a peaceful BLM protest in Nathan Phillips Square, Toronto after he showed up to the protest in full blackface. The man put extra attention into detail and made sure every bit of visible skin was painted. He was arrested for breaching the peace and is facing one charge of “Causing a Disturbance”.

Police say officers on scene spoke to the man and he was subsequently arrested for breaching the peace.“

On Saturday, June 6, 2020, at approximately 1:30 p.m., the Toronto Police Service was made aware of a man causing a disturbance in Nathan Philips Square.
It is alleged that:
– a man attended Nathan Philips Square during an anti-racism protest dressed in “blackface”
– police on scene were advised and promptly engaged with the man
– the man was arrested for Breach of the Peace
After further investigation, Deivis Shtembari, 28, of Thornhill, has been charged with:
1) Cause a Disturbance
He is scheduled to appear at Old City Hall, on Thursday, July 16, 2020, at 11 a.m., room 111.“
