As of May 1, Kim Jong Un has made a public appearance confirming that he is alive.

    In April of 2020, news reports began to surface that the supreme leader of socialist republic North Korea, Kim Jong Un, had allegedly entered into a serious cardiovascular surgery. This news was followed by reports of supposed complications of said surgery, maybe even leading to his death.

    As of today, a known defector of the nation that many consider a dictatorship named Ji Seong-ho has spoke on the situation. He claimed that sources close to him (still unverifiable) have told him that Kim has passed away. He had been absent for at least two weeks before the initial news report, even missing an incredibly significant day of celebration for the countries founding father. This is almost unheard of in such a political nation.
